Get Your Glow On With DIY Self Tanner

In Chicagoland this time of year, we can’t wait to be around the warm summer sun. The long winter months can leave some of us feeling dry and pale. Did you know you can skip the tanning bed and spray tans and make a natural self tanner from scratch? As we count the days to glowing tan skin, here are a few DIY self tanner recipes you can try at home.

 

DIY Self Tanner Recipes

 

The Cocoa Recipe

Ingredients: Unscented white lotion and 100% Cocoa powder

 

Mix 1/3 cup of Cocoa with the unscented white lotion. Apply to skin and let absorb and dry completely. Use daily until desired color is reached.

 

The Tea Recipe

Ingredients: Black tea and unscented white lotion

 

Use approximately 4 black tea bags. Pour hot water over bags and let steep for 2-3 minutes. Let cool and mix 1/2 cup of black tea to 1 cup of unscented white lotion.

 

The Coffee Recipe

Ingredients: Caffeinated black coffee and unscented white lotion

 

Brew the caffeinated black coffee like usual. Mix desired color amount with lotion. *The caffeine is great for cellulite!

 

With the tea and coffee recipes, if you want to skip the lotion option, but the liquid mixture in a spray bottle and DIY spray tan is born. Always make sure to let dry.
