In many states, a minimum number of hours of continuing education is required each year for aestheticians to maintain licensure. Esthetics continuing education classes may range from safety courses to trainings on advanced techniques.

There are more benefits to these classes than simply fulfilling the obligation to maintain a license. Aestheticians can learn the latest skills, treatments and responsible practices that make their services more appealing to clients. This can help them earn more pay and further their career development in esthetics or other cosmetology fields.
