According to the American Polarity Therapy Association, Polarity Therapy is a unique wellness practice that involves touch. It was developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, (1889-1981), an Osteopathic physician and Chiropractor with a passion for natural healing. Dr. Stone gave lectures and taught seminars on Polarity Therapy until his death in 1981. The American Polarity Therapy Association was established in 1984, and over 20 certification programs exist in the U.S. today. The purpose of this type of therapy is focused on personal transformation. Your body is the direct reflection of your thoughts, actions, your beliefs and emotions. It is the chance to release the negative clutter and be open to resolution and freedom.
According to the Wellness institute, “Polarity Therapy is becoming a defining model for energy medicine because it offers a comprehensive and specific model of the Human Energy System.” Polarity therapy is a holistic healing system that works with this “life energy” in all its forms, using a comprehensive system of bodywork, exercise, nutritional guidance and verbal counseling. The goal of polarity therapy is to realign and unite body, mind, spirit and emotions into harmony and vibrant health.
