4 Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

Posted on: November 26th, 2017

Laser hair removal is a part of our medical aesthetics program here at USTA! Even during the winter months, laser hair removal continues to be popular as we attend holiday parties and winter getaways.

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal

  1. 1. Treatments are quick. Laser hair removal treatments are relatively quick. It only takes 20 minutes to perform a treatment on the underarm and Brazilian area.
  2. 2. You will save money. With the permanent reduction of hair, you no longer need to purchase endless razors, shaving cream, depilatory creams. No need for scheduling those painful waxing appointments either! The cost of laser hair removal has decreased as the technology has improved.
  3. 3. You can eliminate and prevent ingrown hairs. Laser hair removal is simply the best option and the only solution to prevent and eliminate ingrown hairs. It is also a great option for those who have sensitive skin and experience skin irritation from shaving and waxing.
  4. 4. You will save time. Eliminate the need for the daily shave. Stay on top of treatments and say goodbye to the razor.

In our medical aesthetics program, we cover the art of hair removal along side other services such as: Dermaplaning, Micro-Needling, Intense Pulsed Light Laser, Fraxel Laser Treatments, Vascular Removal, Laser Physics and more! As an added bonus of USTA’s aesthetics program is that each aesthetics student will have the opportunity to participate in an intensive hands-on laser certification course provided by True U Education in Chicago.

With cold and flu season approaching it is important to keep your mind and body healthy with a winter detox. Every season it is beneficial to detox but when the temperatures turn cold, it helps to build your immune system and fight off infection.

Here are signs that you may need a winter detox:

  • You tend to feel cold, especially in your hands and feet.
  • Your skin is dry.

Easy Winter Makeup Looks

Posted on: November 5th, 2017

Winter makeup can be tricky when it comes to what looks to prepare for holiday parties and celebrations. We have compiled some top looks that are popular this winter season.

Winter Makeup Looks

  1. Peachy lips and cheeks. A nice peach blush and lip stain will create a soft wintery look.
  2. Inner eye sparkle. In the inner corners of the eyes, add a light touch of silver eyeshadow to sparkle and brighten your eye. Very festive!
  3. Get golden. Gold eyeliner and golden lips are also in season for the holidays.
  4. Black winged eyeliner. Thought that winged eyeliner was ever going to go away? Every year it still is a trend.
  5. Liner flick + red lip. As Dolce and Gabbana has proven, pair a red lip with black winged eyeliner for that perfect kitten look.
  6. Metallic smokey eye. Add some sparkle to the classic smokey eye. Always pair this look with a nude lip.
  7. Copper eye. Smudge copper toned eyeshadow along the top lid. Create a bolder look with flared lashes.
  8. The Rose look. Rosey cheeks, lids and lips create a simple, natural look.
  9. The highlighted cheekbone. Will this trend ever go out of style? Catch the light with with a glossy highlighter, blend upwards on the cheekbones.
  10. Lilac-silver lid. Blend a metallic lilac + silver color on the lid. Complete the look with a glossy, nude lip.

As the temperatures drop, the makeup looks don’t have to! Have fun this season and try out a few of the winter makeup looks above. Tag us @universalspatrainingacademy to showcase your look on Facebook and Instagram!
