Naperville’s Celebrated Woman has experience in pampering clients.

Celebrated Woman in Naperville is about pampering and parties. Felicia Talmadge owns the business that specializes in massage therapy and skin care with a focus on pregnancy massage and deep tissue massage. Spa parties for women of all ages are another attraction at Celebrated Woman, 231 S. Washington St, downtown Naperville. Talmadge has a great deal of experience in the industry. She earned a degree in midwifery from Miami-Dade Medical Center and then worked as a Midwife in Florida. She traveled to South America with a group of midwives to lend services to pregnant women in Columbia.

When Talmadge returned to Florida, she grew homesick and full of stress. She returned to the area to be closer to her family. She grew up in the Joliet and Plainfield area. When Talmadge returned, she earned her massage license and practiced as a therapist. She then decided to launch her own business and soon after, also fell in love with skin care, earning a license in aesthetics. Using her midwifery background, the pregnancy massage seemed like a natural. She performs the massage on a specially designed table with cutouts for the belly and breasts. There aren’t many facilities in the area that feature this type of specialty table. Pregnancy massage is $80 for an hour session. Relaxation massage is $65. The entrepreneur also makes her own product line called Emma’s Natural. The body products are made in her own kitchen. Lavender baby powder, chocolate belly butter and cream for diaper rash are included in the mix.

Talmadge also lets her customer’s create their own products at the shop’s Aroma Bar. Shoppers choose from more than 60 aromas to create lotions and candles.

Birthday parties for young girls are another highlight. Partygoers can create their own lotion and lip-gloss and undergo a fun makeover. Sparkling cider is served in champagne glasses.

Spa parties for women are also offered. Women receive a mini-massage, mini-facial, create their own lotion and are served refreshments.

Other services include belly masking where a mold is made of a pregnant woman’s belly and breasts and then decorated as well as waxing, microdermaabrasion and nail care.
